My name is Ambiara. My parents arranged my marriage when I was 5 years old but the marriage was finalized when I was 12 and I moved to my in-law’s house. I didn’t have any child so my in-law’s and husband blamed me and beat me regularly.

I came to Dhaka with my husband and worked in a garment factory. After being married 13 years I finally gave birth to a daughter. Now I’m not able to work outside the home and yet my husband does not earn enough. We weren’t able to buy enough food for our family with his earnings.

I got to know about Basha from one of my neighbors. I am working from home for Basha and earning money that now I can help support my family. I  want my daughter to be educated and have a better life.
