My name is Shati. I live with my husband and my daughter Sadia who is five years old. My previous life was so difficult. I was living in the Mazar [a local religious shrine, where women and children are at high risk of exploitation] and my life was sorrowful. I had no place to live and never had enough to eat.

Then I was given a great opportunity to go and join a training program at CUP. My life changed so much through this training. I am now working at Basha and my life has become beautiful. This job rescued me from much danger and I now feel such peace. I am proud that I can support myself. My goal is for me to save money for my daughter and for her to do well in school.
